A few photos from a first birthday party I shot back in February.

Today has been a real bummer of a day. I’m not really sure why I’m stuck in this rut today. It’s probably a culmination of things I haven’t done or just feeling like I am not reaching my full potential as a human, and that I realized I have one year left to be a “top 30 under 30.”  Which I realized today I won’t make that happen, but as this day is almost done I’m beginning to be ok with the idea.

I also realized I’m not a good writer.  I’m not even good, I’m awful.  I can’t express myself with words.  Even when I try to speak I stutter and can’t think of words. I’m very selfish today.  Pity Party, my place, til about midnight tonight. ha.  lame.

I’m a “20-whatever.”

This is the time in my life where I am “supposed to be accumulating wealth, dating, finding out what I want to do in my 30s.”

Garbage.

I don’t think so.  I have always wanted to do nothing but be happy in my life and I feel like I finally am.  I might be poor, but that’s ok with me.  I don’t care.  Some day it will bother me, but I feel like if I want to be a photographer bad enough and I want to have certain things bad enough (i.e. car, house, kids etc.) I will work hard enough to achieve these things.  I think it comes with drive and I don’t think everyone has that gusto.  Not everyone can start their own business.  Not everyone can live by scraping by while their business takes off.  People will hate on you for being happy and successful, as with anything in life because they don’t have the drive like you do.  (Or they do and don’t do anything with it.)

I love shooting my photo booths and would love to take on some more challenging ventures.

So come on life.  Bring it.
